Pallavolo Volta Mantovana was born in 1974. The first founder was Mazzi Giuseppe, he was also the first president. The team was immediately noticed by struggling in the early ’80s to achieve promotion in A2 and participating to the final of League’s Cup. In 1991 Alberto Rebecchi became the President and he served until the 1999/2000 season. Meanwhile Volta Mantovana arrives in B2 in the final season of 1996/1997 after several C1 championships.
In that category it fights for the first place, until the sadly demotion in C in 1999/2000 season.
In 2000 Pallavolo Volta had the actually turning point. Sergio Longhi entered in the sport club and Pallavolo Volta got its promotion in B2.
In 2002 the first B2 season had Volta Mantovana as fourth place, that deserved it the access to playoff. On the next season it achieved the promotion in B1 winning the first B2 bracket.
In the first year in B1, in 2004/2005, it gets the second place in the final and the defeat at playoffs for the promotion in A2 that vanish in the second-last championship.
In 2005/2006 season the team is trained to move up to the big leagues. At the ending of 2005/2006 season Volta achieved the goal about entering in A2. In the first year, 2006/2007 it get a seventh place. It finished the 2007/2008 season with fourth place and lost the promotion with Cremona.
In the 2008/2009 season, after conquering play-offs, is defeated by Milan team.
In the championship 2009/2010, after conquering play-offs with physical and agonistic commitment, the dream of possible promotion turn off again Parma.
In the 2010/2011 season, Pallavolo Volta is forced to give up A2 and restart in B2, caused to lack of“sponsor”. The 2011/2012 championship, it stills in B2 league and take the third place on own bracket, dispute the playoffs but was eliminated from Groppello Cairoli. 2012/2013, third B2 championship, Pallavolo Volta conquered the salvation with 3 anticipated days.
In the 2013/2014 league B2 championship the Volleyball Volta saves the penultimate of the championship. The 2014/2015 season records the bitter relegation of Volleyball Volta in the C series.
The stay in C lasts three years and in the 2017/2018 season deservedly wins the promotion in League B2 and the Regional Category Title.
